Women Inclusive in Technology (WIIT) hosted a full-day Gender Justice initiative at Technopark on 25 February 2026, bringing together professionals and community members for meaningful conversations around gender, equality and inclusion in the workplace.
Built around the thought-provoking theme “Gender in the Workplace – What Does It Have to Do with MEN?”, the initiative explored the role that men can play in advancing gender justice and creating more inclusive professional environments.
The programme encouraged participants to look beyond gender as an issue concerning women alone and recognise the importance of shared responsibility, awareness and participation in creating workplaces where everyone can contribute and thrive.
Through discussions and engagement, the initiative provided an opportunity to reflect on workplace experiences, gender dynamics and the importance of building cultures based on respect, fairness, dignity and equal opportunity.
The programme also highlighted the value of involving men as active participants in conversations around gender equality. Meaningful progress towards inclusive workplaces requires awareness and participation across the entire professional community.
By creating a space for open dialogue and reflection, WIIT’s Gender Justice initiative aimed to encourage participants to examine their own perspectives and consider how everyday actions, workplace practices and organisational cultures can contribute to a more equitable environment.
The initiative reflects WIIT’s continued commitment to promoting gender inclusion, workplace equality and meaningful participation across the technology ecosystem.
