WIIT conducted a POSH Certification Program on 6 August 2026 at Malabar Hall, Technopark, Trivandrum, bringing together participants for an informative and engaging session focused on creating safer, more respectful and inclusive workplaces.
The session was led by Adv. Sreela Menon, State Coordinator, Nirbhaya Cell, Department of Women & Child Development, Government of Kerala, who shared valuable insights into the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) framework and its significance in the workplace.
The programme focused on building awareness around workplace safety, prevention of sexual harassment and the responsibilities of both organisations and employees. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of establishing appropriate policies, processes and mechanisms to address workplace concerns effectively.
The session also emphasised the role of awareness and education in fostering a professional environment where employees can work with dignity, confidence and mutual respect. By strengthening knowledge of POSH requirements, organisations can take meaningful steps towards developing workplaces that are safer, more inclusive and supportive for everyone.
Through initiatives such as the POSH Certification Program, WIIT continues to promote workplace awareness, gender inclusion and responsible organisational practices, supporting organisations in building a culture of safety, respect and accountability.
