The Women Inclusive in Technology (WIIT) Child Care Hub (CCHUB) hosted a training session on “Montessori Principles for Childcare Centres,” focusing on the application of Montessori principles in childcare environments.
The session was led by Rakhi M R, Montessori Certified Professional, who shared insights into the Montessori approach and its relevance to early childhood care and development. The programme provided an opportunity for participants to explore child-centred approaches that encourage independence, curiosity, engagement and holistic development.
The session highlighted the importance of creating a supportive and thoughtfully prepared environment where children can learn through exploration and hands-on experiences. It also offered practical perspectives on incorporating Montessori-inspired practices into everyday childcare settings.
